The Program:
At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 19, 2025, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. United around a single goal of empowering smarter treatments and healthier people. Medidatians work in a culture of curiosity, innovation and fun. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.
Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.
About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Video Intern to join our in-house Creative Services team. This internship offers hands-on experience in video production, editing, and content creation and provides an opportunity to work on real projects in a fast-paced, creative environment. As a Video Intern, you'll support the production team in various stages of video creation, from pre-production to post-production, and gain invaluable experience working on branded content for different digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, helping to ensure deliverables, timelines, and budgets are met
- Assist in video shoots, including setting up equipment, managing props, wrangling talent, and supporting the video team
- Capture B-roll footage, interviews, behind-the-scenes, and other video and photo content
- Help with video editing tasks, including creating stringouts, cutting footage, adding graphics, sound editing, and color correction
- Organize and archive video assets for easy access and reference
- Collaborate with other video team members to brainstorm and develop video concepts and ideas. Work with designers and other creative services team members to build needed graphics for content projects
- Help create motion graphics, animations, and other multimedia assets
- Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines and quality standards
- Improve assets for multiple platforms, including internal, web, and social media
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas and feedback
Qualifications
- You're a self-starter who has a creative mindset, the ability to think strategically and analytically, and isn't afraid to ask questions
- You're enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, communications, or related program
- You possess a strong understanding of video production processes, terminology, and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)
- You have a strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording techniques
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- You've got strong attention to detail, are organized, can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and can think on your feet and solve issues quickly

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 an hour and a $3,500 sign on bonus.
