The Program:
At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our talented and committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 19, 2025, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.
Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.
About the Team:
We are seeking a Social Media summer intern to support the Social Media Marketing team with the conceptualization and creation of content for the Medidata corporate social media channels. You will work closely with them to develop creative campaigns and bold activations that will enhance performance and increase followers. You're someone who values the art of social media, feels confident creating video content (filming and editing), and always keeps up with the latest trends to stay relevant.
Responsibilities:
- Exceptional organizational, project, and relationship management skills
- Strong attention to detail; writing, proofreading and copyediting experience a must
- Communications/PR/social media marketing major
- Strong communicator with adaptable tone of voice and overall social media competency
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and hands-on
- Exceptional creativity and pulse on latest social trends and best practices
- Experience creating content (filming and editing) for Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, and YouTube Shorts required
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and confident in ability to work across various disciplines and stakeholder groups
- Support the management of Medidata social media corporate channels (LinkedIn and X) with a focus on Instagram and YouTube
- Develop collages, Instagram Reels, Instagram Story templates, YouTube Shorts, and other dynamic visual assets for social posts
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly community management and analytics reporting
- Coordinate organic social media activations and campaigns, including the conceptualization of ideas, creation of visual storyboards, and filming and editing videos
- Conduct relevant industry competitor, awareness day, and algorithm research
- Collaborate with various global content contributors – including internal and external stakeholders – to integrate with social media campaigns and editorial calendars
- Focus on activities that will support Global Marketing initiatives and meet overall business goals
Qualifications:
- Rising senior or graduating senior
- Social media/digital marketing experience a plus
- Previous experience working in communications/public relations a plus
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 an hour and a $3,500 sign on bonus.
