About the Team:

The Senior Manager, Business Development is responsible for a team of business development specialists. This is a high profile role necessary to keeping the North American (NAM) sales pipeline full of qualified sales opportunities. Reporting to our Managing Director, Global Business Development, this is an excellent opportunity to transform an existing team to guide a pipeline and have an impact on NAM sales results.

Responsibilities:

●      Coach and hire top business development talent within the team

●      A track record in exceeding sales targets

●      Work with North America Sales Leadership to build a business development strategy that meets the growth needs of the business

●      Use data to make decisions on where to focus people and digital resources in building a high-volume lead generation engine

●      Represent Medidata Solutions in a manner consistent with company principles

●      Ability to motivate and inspire a team in times of change

●      Demonstrate a data-driven approach to guide lead generation

●      Ability to conduct market level analyses to identify opportunities, and develop acquisition strategy

Qualifications:

●      Bachelors or relevant experience managing and motivating a sales team

  • Success in driving software sales and exceeding targets (Minimum 5+ years experience)

●      Experience managing inside sales / lead generation teams (Minimum 2+ years experience)

●      Life Sciences industry experience preferred but not essential.

●      BDR or SDR sales experience

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on many factors including function, level, candidate expertise, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $96,750 to $129,000Medidata believes that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most and provides the best benefits, including medical, life and disability insurance; paid time off; paid sick leave; Employee Assistance Program; and paid parental leaves.
