About the Team:

The People Technology Manager performs a key role in leading the operational functions of Workday as well as continually optimizing Medidata's HR technology solutions. This position will collaborate with HR Leadership to establish and maintain the HR Technology roadmap, provide expertise, project management, maintenance, testing, and training of Workday and HR Technology solutions. This position will serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional area and assist with ensuring data integrity, build downstream system integrations, reporting and execute process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Workday HCM day-to-day ensuring proper and accurate data integrity, performance and security.
  • Provide system support, training and documentation for all end users.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the HCM, Security, Reporting Workday modules
  • Manage Workday updates, integrations and repairs, partnering with IT, vendors and other SMEs as needed
  • Generate and deliver Workday reports and dashboards for end users and auditors
  • Analyze data to identify company and system trends, making recommendations to Leadership for process and system improvements; identify opportunities for automation to increase efficiencies.
  • Implement, manage and report on security protocols ensuring compliance
  • Manage relationships with system vendors and service providers, evaluating performance and negotiating contracts
  • Manage, guide and develop small team of analysts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required
  • 5-7 years of Workday experience, preferably in a global setting
  • 1 year of managing a team
  • 7-9 years of overall professional experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Workday webservice, PeopleSoft, Core Connectors, EIB/DTS, Workday Report Writer, SOAP requests
  • Workday Certifications preferred

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $124,700 - $153,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
