About the Team:
As a Global Client Executive, you will be achieving revenue objectives in named account territories including identifying sales opportunities, qualifying opportunities, and efficiently leveraging resources in order to bring opportunities to successful conclusion. In addition, you will maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and personal involvement in customer relationships in order to remain consistent with Medidata business principals. This role reports to a Director of Mid Market sales.
Responsibilities:
- Consistent accomplishment of all revenue and booking targets within your assigned territory, per targets based on position referenced above
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans as it relates to specific opportunities within your assigned territory
- Directly responsible for closing sales transactions with clients and prospects
- Coordination of resources within sales and other departments
- Maintain and update sales plans, account and opportunity data within company systems as directed, including SalesForce.com
- Quarterly and/or annual sales targets differ by title/position and are covered under a separate document
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of previous software sales experience (e-clinical/SaaS )
- Demonstrated consistent track record in exceeding sales targets
- Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences, Business or Computer Science
- Demonstrated consistent track record in exceeding sales targets
- Strong application software sales experience. SaaS/e-clinical experience
- Working knowledge of life sciences industry, specifically selling to top 20 pharma
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects
- Demonstrated success with process approached selling
- Strong business planning
- Experience maintaining clean records of sales outreach and contacts in a CRM
- Demonstrated success with strategic, value-based selling
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $116,250 - $155,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
