‘Tu Salud Tu Familia’ Program Features Health and Wellness in the Latinx Community, and Helps Promote Diversity and Inclusion in Clinical Trials
September 26, 2022 — “Tu Salud Tu Familia” (Your Health Your Family), a weekly health and medical education program on Telemundo in Washington, D.C. and Connecticut, won the health/medical category at the 64th Capital Emmy® Awards presented by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This is the third Capital Emmy win for the show.
Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes company, is a founding co-sponsor of the program created and hosted by Dr. Fabian Sandoval, CEO and Medical Director of the Emerson Clinical Research Institute. “Tu Salud Tu Familia” includes educational content on important health topics for Latinx audiences.

The ‘Tu Salud Tu Familia’ program has been recognized for the past three years by the Capital Emmy Awards for science, technology and health categories. This year’s winning entry is for the episode titled, “Cirugía que Transforma Vidas” (Surgery that Transforms Lives).

Tu Salud Tu Familia (Your Health Your Family) is a Capital Emmy-award winning dynamic medical/health news program focused on educating people in the Hispanic/Latinx community. It focuses on health issues, healthy behaviors, and the importance of participating in clinical trials. The show is hosted by renowned physician and researcher Dr. Fabian Sandoval, and features a team of correspondents from across the United States. The Emerson Diversity Health Foundation (EDHF)—a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization—launched Tu Salud Tu Familia in cooperation with Telemundo (WZDC Channel 44) in Washington, DC in 2019.
